Sticker - Morocco Stamp
This is an intricately detailed sticker of a vintage Morocco stamp featuring the iconic Koutoubia mosque of Marrakech. The masjid serves as the architectural and spiritual anchor of the city, and was founded in 1147 by the Almohad caliph Abd al-Mu'min, while the current structure was finalized around 1158.
It's made of red sandstone and brick, and features unique geometric patterns, ceramic inlays, and served as the structural prototype for the Giralda tower in Seville, Spain.
The minaret is capped by four famous golden copper spheres. Local legend claims the fourth sphere was added by a Caliph's wife as penance for breaking her Ramadan fast.
The bottom of the sticker says "Al Maghreb" in Arabic, which is the Arabic name of Morocco.
Dimensions: 3"
